Miami Stage: Miller's 'Salesman' Finds New Voice

Arthur Miller's seminal American play, "Death of a Salesman," is being brought to life in a new Spanish-language adaptation by Arca Images. The production, which runs from August 21 through August 30, offers audiences in Miami a chance to experience the play's enduring themes. All performances include simultaneous English audio translation, ensuring broad accessibility.

This artistic initiative, spearheaded by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, is directed by Samantha Pazos and adapted by Arca Images Executive and Artistic Director Alexa Kuve. The play, co-presented by Miami-Dade County Auditorium and Roxy Theater Group, examines the steep cost of ambition, the delicate nature of family bonds, and the often-illusory promise of the American Dream.

Carlos Acosta Milián stars as Willy Loman, portraying the salesman whose aspirations begin to crumble. The cast, featuring prominent members of Miami's artistic community, includes Rosalinda Rodríguez as Linda Loman and Caleb Casasas as Biff Loman. Kuve emphasized the play's universal emotional truth, stating it crosses languages and borders.
