Summary
- Spaceballs 2 filming concluded with Bill Pullman's son taking a lead role.
- Mel Brooks, director of the original, participated remotely as a 'homebody'.
- Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga reprise roles, joined by new cast members.

The sequel to the beloved 1987 space parody, Spaceballs, has officially concluded filming. Bill Pullman's son has taken on a significant role in the new production, following in his father's footsteps. Although director Mel Brooks, who helmed the original, remained at home during filming, his creative vision and design contributions were instrumental.
Pullman's son shared that Brooks provided a voice note for the role and was "part of the design," emphasizing that his "spirit was there." The production, directed by Josh Greenbaum, began in September. The cast sees the return of Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet and Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa.
Joining the ensemble are Keke Palmer, Anthony Carrigan, and Josh Gad, who also co-writes and produces. Mel Brooks will reprise his iconic role as Yogurt. The original Spaceballs, a cult classic inspired by Star Wars and other sci-fi films, was released by MGM and has maintained its popularity over the decades.
