The movie's narrative will reportedly concentrate on Ganguly's transformative leadership during the early 2000s.
Filming is planned across multiple iconic locations, including Kolkata, Mumbai, and London. Motwane and his team scouted key venues such as Eden Gardens and the Dukhi Ram Memorial Cricket Academy, where Ganguly began his training. The script's final draft is complete, with further casting decisions pending Ganguly's return from South Africa.
One significant casting aspect yet to be finalized is the role of Dona Ganguly. The character will be depicted between the ages of 17 and 22, indicating a search for an actor within that specific age bracket, potentially even a newcomer to the industry.
