Emerging Eora/Sydney indie outfit The Sooks have unveiled their new EP, "Wasting All My Time." This six-track collection is described by frontman Corey Fitzsimons as a "coming of age" project, deeply reflecting the band's shared experiences, navigating relationships, and growing pains.
Produced by Jack Nigro, the EP explores themes of ambition, uncertainty, self-doubt, and personal growth, all set to the band's signature sun-soaked indie sound. It features recent singles such as "Take It Slow," "Kickstarter," and "Sober (For The Second Time)," moving between reflective moments and energetic sing-alongs.
The core message of "Wasting All My Time" is a powerful reminder to refuse doubt and keep momentum, encouraging listeners to seize the moment and not let anything "waste your time." This release marks a significant evolution from their 2024 debut, "Oyster Boy," showcasing a more sonically refined and reflective style.
To celebrate, The Sooks are headlining Waywards in Newtown on Saturday, March 14. They will also embark on tour dates supporting bands like The Terrys, Playlunch, and CURRENTS. This follows a massive year for the band, transitioning from garage jams to festival stages and sold-out shows.
