Sony Ignites CinemaCon with Spider-Man & Zuckerberg Tease

Sony kicked off CinemaCon with a presentation highlighting its commitment to theatrical releases, showcasing footage from upcoming films. The studio presented a trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," featuring Peter Parker attending a party and witnessing MJ kiss another person.

Jeremy Strong was revealed as Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Reckoning," a film that also stars Jeremy Allen White and Mikey Madison. The trailer depicted intense deposition scenes and arguments, generating significant buzz.

Further previews included "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," which continues Miles Morales' story as he's captured by an alternate Prowler-version of himself. Sony also teased "Helldivers" and announced an R-rated "Bloodborne" animated feature.

A major announcement was the 2028 simultaneous release of Sam Mendes' four Beatles films, with the cast present. While "Legend of Zelda" news was absent, Sony confirmed its production wrap.

SPE CEO Tom Rothman predicted strong box office for 2026 and urged theaters to enforce longer windows, shorten pre-shows, and reduce ticket prices to enhance the cinematic experience.
