A new FX thriller titled 'Legends,' created by Charlie Hunnam, is set to bring together the main cast of 'Sons of Anarchy.' This highly anticipated project is expected to premiere after the 2026 television season concludes.
Theo Rossi, who starred in 'Sons of Anarchy,' confirmed the reunion, stating that the series concept emerged from a shared desire among the cast and fans for more collaborative work. The show will feature the 'Sons' actors portraying fictionalized versions of themselves as they navigate an unexpected crisis.
Hunnam's 'eureka moment' for 'Legends' involves the cast attending a fan convention where they face a situation that forces them to rely on their real-world brotherhood. The tone is suggested to be wild, with comparisons to 'Hamilton' and 'Mindhunter,' and Jonathan Groff co-developing the story, while Rob McElhenney is an executive producer.
Rossi expressed that the strong bond formed on 'Sons of Anarchy' is unique, making this project particularly significant. The development process has been years in the making, boosting his confidence in its success. While many cast members are confirmed, additional casting is anticipated, with potential interest in actors like Walton Goggins and Harold Perrineau.
