Soni Razdan Opens Up on Mahesh Bhatt's Age

Soni Razdan has spoken about the 8-year age gap between herself and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. She noted that Bhatt, coming from an older generation, initially presented a slight difference in mindset. However, Razdan embraced the relationship with an open mind, and she feels both she and Bhatt grew considerably through their time together.

Razdan praised Bhatt's ability to be critically self-aware, a trait she learned from him to better understand herself. She described their bond as one where they have grown together into a very comfortable space, emphasizing that they are now best friends. The couple first met when Bhatt was casting for his 1984 film Saaransh, in which Razdan played a key role.

Mahesh Bhatt married Soni Razdan in 1986, having converted to Islam for the ceremony. At the time of their relationship's beginning, Bhatt was married to his first wife, Kiran Bhatt, with whom he has two children, Pooja and Rahul Bhatt. Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt are parents to two daughters, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
