Sobhita Dhulipala Shuns PR for 'Limited Visibility'

Sobhita Dhulipala has returned to Telugu cinema with the recently released film Cheekatilo, marking her first appearance in the language since 2018's Goodachari. She also featured in the bilingual film Major in 2022.

In Cheekatilo, Dhulipala takes on the role of a podcaster. She expressed her enjoyment of working in Telugu cinema, finding the experience effortless, and was particularly pleased to use crisp vocabulary in her mother tongue.

Addressing the pervasive use of public relations in the film industry, Dhulipala stated her preference for limited visibility. She revealed that she rarely works with PR firms, valuing a less amplified presence and avoiding constant public discourse, a choice she finds personally beneficial.

Dhulipala acknowledged that while PR may work for others, her own path involves clarity about her preferences. She shared that many of her projects have been counter-cultural, and her understanding of her career choices has been developed through personal experience, having moved from Vizag without a film background.
