Snowfall Spinoff: Wanda & Leon's 90s LA Comeback

The world of Snowfall is expanding into the 1990s with 'The Drop: A Snowfall Saga,' set to premiere on September 8. This new series centers on Wanda and Leon, two key characters from the original show, as they endeavor to reinvent themselves in Los Angeles. The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the crack epidemic's lingering effects and the ascendant West Coast rap movement.

Wanda is driven by the conviction that West Coast rap can redefine American culture. She plans to assemble a team of talented individuals to realize their collective dreams. Her journey involves navigating the volatile intersection of the music industry and street politics. Meanwhile, Leon is committed to leaving his past behind and establishing a free legal clinic, seeking personal redemption.

Key cast members reprising roles or joining the saga include Asante Blackk and Peyton Alex Smith as Wanda's cousins, Lamar and James Kinsey. Brandon Mychal Smith also stars as Darryl 'DG' Grant, a former drug dealer turned label owner. Additional supporting cast members are Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, Isidora Goreshter, Eric Balfour, and Richard Portnow.

Produced by FX Productions, 'The Drop' is executive produced by Malcolm Spellman alongside Snowfall EPs Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London, and Trevor Engelson.
