Summary
- SNL UK sketch reanimated historical figures with Jurassic Park tech.
- Princess Diana and Freddie Mercury debated appetizers in the skit.
- David Attenborough gave up on finding what makes Britain great.
A recent sketch on 'Saturday Night Live U.K.' brought historical British figures back to life using advanced reanimation technology, humorously titled 'David Attenborough's Last Supper.' Played by George Fouracres, David Attenborough employed his brother's 'Jurassic Park' inspired methods to resurrect notable Britons.
The resurrected guests included Princess Diana, Winston Churchill, Isaac Newton, Mary Seacole, Benjamin Zephaniah, Freddie Mercury, Elizabeth I, and Cilla Black. They convened for a dinner party hosted by Tina Fey's Agatha Christie.
Instead of discussing national identity, the historical figures became engrossed in appetizers. The sketch highlighted the absurdity of the premise, with Attenborough eventually deeming the experiment a failure.
Attenborough's attempt to discover Britain's core greatness was thwarted by the guests' bickering. He ultimately declared the NHS and Centerparcs as the answer, much to the guests' dismay.
