15 Aug
Summary
- Slipknot announced the departure of turntablist Sid Wilson.
- Wilson, known as #0, joined the band in 1998.
- This follows recent departures of other long-term members.

Effective immediately, the band Slipknot has ended its association with turntablist Sid Wilson. Wilson, who joined the popular metal band in 1998 and was known by the designation #0, served as both a keyboardist and turntablist for the group.
The departure of Wilson represents the latest in a series of recent changes to Slipknot's lineup. In 2019, percussionist Chris Fehn parted ways with the band amidst a lawsuit. Later, keyboardist-sampler Craig Jones, a member since 1996, left in 2023.
That same year, Slipknot also announced they had split with drummer Jay Weinberg, citing a 'creative decision' for his exit. Weinberg later reflected on his decade with the band, expressing a desire for future creative environments characterized by mutual respect.
Last year, Slipknot entered into a significant deal, selling a majority stake in their music catalog, including royalties, to HarbourView Equity Partners. Band member M Shawn "Clown" Crahan stated this partnership was intended to expand Slipknot's reach and continue their legacy.
