Slayyyter, once focused on luxury as a status symbol, has pivoted to a more raw and authentic artistic expression. Her latest album, 'Worst Girl in America,' released in the spring of 2026, represents a departure from the Hollywood glamour of her previous work.

This transformation comes after her second album, 'Starfucker' (2023), failed to meet expectations, both financially and artistically. Slayyyter viewed 'Starfucker' as a fleeting fantasy, much like a designer item that loses its appeal. The artist considered ending her music career after her debut and second album did not achieve mainstream success.

A pivotal moment occurred in April 2026 when Slayyyter delivered a critically acclaimed performance at the Coachella festival, her first time performing with a live band. This experience, performing songs from 'Worst Girl in America,' marked a significant turning point, generating substantial new attention.

Inspired by this resurgence, Slayyyter is currently creating new music that centers on her true self, shedding the persona she felt pressured to adopt early in her career. She now prefers to be called Grace, signifying a deeper connection to her identity beyond the pop-star facade.
