British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn has unveiled an extraordinary collection titled 'The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse.' This groundbreaking project features 12 distinct, one-of-a-kind custom Rolex watches. Each watch has been meticulously designed in partnership with a notable cultural figure, spanning across music, sport, fashion, and contemporary art.
The confirmed collaborators represent a diverse array of creative talents. They include footballers Ronaldinho and Mario Balotelli, rappers Gunna and Lil Yachty, and prominent figures like Corteiz founder Clint419 and Fuckthepopulation founder Zac FTP. Other collaborators are Japanese graphic designer Verdy, visual artist Gabriel Moses, art figure Cedric Christie, hospitality operator David Grutman, and the Nigerian collective Motherlan.
This new venture builds on the immense success of Slawn's 2024 hand-painted Rolex DateJusts, which sold out in under four minutes and now command resale values exceeding £150,000. The watches from the Multiverse collection will be released individually throughout August.
