Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, 60, was recently observed engaging in a casual supermarket visit with his longtime girlfriend, Meegan Hodges, 57. This unexpected sighting saw the rock icon, famous for his curly locks and leather jackets, trading his guitar for a shopping trolley, wearing a baseball cap and jeans.

Slash, whose iconic riff in 'Sweet Child o' Mine' was lauded in a 2022 poll, has previously mused about his band's potential reception in the current era of the internet. He suggested in his book that Guns N' Roses' actions would likely have led to them being 'canceled' by today's standards.

The English-born guitarist has a history of overcoming significant challenges. He is a former heroin addict and, in 2001, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a life-threatening heart condition resulting from years of substance abuse. He was given a grim prognosis but survived through intensive therapy and a defibrillator implant, maintaining sobriety since 2006.

Meegan Hodges' daughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, tragically died by suicide in 2024 at the age of 25, a loss that deeply impacted Slash, who shared his profound grief on Instagram.
