Bruce Houghton announced the closure of Skyline Artists Agency after a remarkable 35-year run. The independent agency, known for its boutique approach, represented a diverse roster that included legendary acts like Foghat and Johnny Winter, as well as contemporary artists such as Darlingside and Gangstagrass. Many artists enjoyed long-term relationships, with some staying with Houghton for two decades.

The transition has seen most of Skyline's agents find new opportunities. Andrea Sabata has moved to The Kurland Agency, and Mark Lourie is now at Madison House, among other notable alumni finding new positions. Houghton prioritized ensuring a smooth transition for both his team and the artists.

While closing the agency, Houghton remains committed to the music industry. He will serve as a senior advisor for the discovery platform Bandsintown, continue his industry blog Hypebot, and teach for Berklee Online. He also dedicates time to supporting the National Independent Talent Organization (NITO).
