Summary
- Kody Brown's experience on 'Sister Wives' has become one of "criticism and backbiting"
- Kody found his time on 'Special Forces' to be "life-affirming" and a "pivot away" from his real life
- Kody's plural marriage with his four wives has fallen apart in recent years

As the 'Sister Wives' TV series heads into its 20th season, Kody Brown, the family patriarch, has branched out into another realm of reality television with 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test'. According to Kody, the two shows "are very different," and he is grateful for the change of pace.
Kody explains that his time on 'Special Forces' was "very life-affirming," as he was able to accomplish difficult tasks with a sense of camaraderie. In contrast, he says 'Sister Wives' has "really become an experience of criticism and backbiting." Kody's plural marriage with his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, has fallen apart in recent years, with Christine and Janelle separating from Kody, and Meri's 32-year marriage also ending.
Kody reveals that his biggest takeaway from 'Special Forces' was a piece of advice from veteran Rudy Reyes, who asked him, "What are you doing that you should not be doing, and what should you be doing that you are not doing?" Kody says he has started applying this lesson in his life, wishing he had done so 10 years ago.
