This project marks their first film collaboration in almost three decades, with Barack and Michelle Obama serving as producers. The film is directed by Tasha Smith and centers on a recently widowed woman who embarks on a trip to the Hamptons with her closest friends and sister, exploring themes of grief, marriage, and sisterhood.

"Women Like Us" is scheduled for production in New York City this fall. This reunion brings together the stars who previously shared the screen in "Sister Act" and "Corrina, Corrina." Goldberg, a long-time moderator of "The View," has expressed her appreciation for her "Sister Act" experiences, even hosting a reunion on the talk show in 2024. The new comedy aims to inspire audiences with its message that dreams have no expiration date.
