Sir Tom Jones has confirmed his departure from The Voice UK, expressing shock and disappointment after being informed of his dismissal just one day prior. This marks the end of his four-year tenure on the show. Jones's career has spanned decades, from his rise to fame in the sixties to Las Vegas performances and a knighthood in 2005.
Away from the spotlight, Jones is a father to two sons: Mark, born shortly after his 1957 wedding and who later became his manager, and Jonathan, born in 1987. The age difference between Tom and Mark leads many to believe they resemble brothers. Jonathan has publicly stated his desire to meet his father.
Jones is also a grandfather to Mark's two children, Alex and Emma, and has recently become a great-grandfather, a development he finds immensely joyful. His parents were coal miner Thomas Woodward and Freda Jones, and he has a sister named Sheila Davies. Jones was particularly close to his mother, who nursed him through a serious illness in his youth.
