Singer Sheds Tears Over Retiring Her Iconic Victoria's Secret Angel Wings

In the lead-up to the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, singer Madison Beer faced a wardrobe challenge with her debut Angel wings. The original 25-lb pair she was given proved too heavy for her to comfortably wear and perform in. Beer recalled struggling to even walk or strut in the oversized wings during rehearsals, fearing she might accidentally hit another dancer.

Fortunately, the Victoria's Secret design team sprang into action, creating a new, much lighter 5-lb pair of wings for Beer the night before the show. The singer was relieved to have wings that were "not heavy at all" and allowed her to take the stage with confidence.

While the weight of the wings has been an ongoing issue for some models, others have embraced the dramatic look. Heidi Klum, who last appeared in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2009, always wanted the biggest and most extravagant wings, even if they were a challenge to wear. "I don't want little chicken wings. I want the biggest wings you could possibly have, and I wore them proudly," Klum said.

As the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show continues to evolve, the iconic Angel wings remain a central part of the spectacle. For Madison Beer, her debut may have had a few hiccups, but she's now forever a part of the brand's storied history.
