Shang-Chi Star Simu Liu Teases Potential X-Men Crossover in Avengers: Doomsday

In a recent interview, Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu was asked about getting the call to join the cast of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. At first, Liu joked that it was "about god damn time" the opportunity came, before giving a sincere response about how much it meant to him to continue his character's journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Liu was particularly thrilled about the fact that several X-Men actors, including Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, and Rebecca Romijn, will be reprising their iconic roles in Doomsday. While he did not confirm or deny whether he will share scenes with the X-Men, Liu added a lot of "maybes" to his response, hinting at a potential crossover.

The Barbie actor explained that working with the Doomsday cast felt like "turning on your TV on a Saturday morning" and being "in a playground," as he got to collaborate with people he grew up watching. Liu assured fans that the wait for this film and the cost of admission will be well worth it, further fueling the hype for this highly anticipated Marvel project.
