Avengers Star Liu Tackles Sci-Fi Survival

Simu Liu, a prominent star from "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," is joining the cast of Xavier Gens' sci-fi survival thriller, "Homewrecker." He will star alongside Allison Williams and Michelle Randolph. The production is slated to commence filming in Paris, France, on July 15th, just after the Bastille Day national holiday. Anaïs Parello, who recently collaborated with Gens on the Netflix hit "Under Paris," has also been confirmed for a role.

The film's producers have drawn comparisons to "10 Cloverfield Lane" in terms of its spirit. The synopsis reveals that during a significant domestic revelation, three Americans find themselves compelled to unite for survival against an unexplained global event that poses an existential threat. Liu recently made his Broadway debut and has been involved in other productions, with "Avengers: Doomsday" set for release in December.
