Model-actor Sidharth Bhardwaj, known for winning MTV Splitsvilla Season 2 and his stint on Bigg Boss Season 5, has shared harrowing details of his childhood. His upbringing was significantly impacted by domestic violence and his father's past involvement with the Delhi mafia as a boxer and hitman.

Bhardwaj recounted an incident where his father was pushed from the sixth floor in Rohini, Delhi, leading to him being bedridden for five years. During this time, his mother took on the sole responsibility of caring for him and the children, working diligently to make ends meet and later establishing her own advertising agency.

Despite his mother's efforts and eventual success, Bhardwaj's father became increasingly violent upon recovery, reportedly unable to reconcile his former identity with his changed circumstances. The actor described daily struggles and severe abuse inflicted upon his mother, which the family kept hidden from the outside world.

Remarkably, Bhardwaj expressed that he never felt hatred towards his father, viewing him as a hero despite the immense pain endured. His sister, Jaya Bhardwaj, is now married to cricketer Deepak Chahar.
