Summary
- Sia's estranged husband seeks $260,000 per month in spousal support
- Husband alleges Sia is an "unfit" parent due to substance abuse
- Sia claims husband was under investigation for child pornography

As of October 29th, 2025, Sia and her estranged husband, David Bernad, are engaged in a contentious divorce and custody dispute over their 19-month-old son, Somersault (nicknamed "Summi").
Bernad, an oncologist, has filed a court claim seeking over $250,000 per month in spousal support, alleging he needs the funds to maintain an "upper-class lifestyle." In a separate filing, Bernad has also requested full custody of Summi, claiming Sia is "an unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction."
However, Sia has countered Bernad's allegations, revealing that he was recently under investigation for alleged possession of child pornography. While the investigations by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Child and Family Services did not result in any charges due to lack of evidence, Sia says she remains uncomfortable with Bernad having unsupervised visits with their son.

Sia, who has been open about her past struggles with drug addiction, asserts that she has been "fully sober for over six months" and is committed to her recovery. She accuses Bernad of being the one who "parties and uses recreational drugs," claiming this was a key reason for their divorce.
The bitter dispute between the former couple is ongoing, with a hearing on Bernad's hefty spousal support request scheduled for January 2026.
