He explained that a bank officer asked for a letter of recommendation after learning he was working on 'Om Shanti Om' with Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan. Talpade contacted Khan, who swiftly obtained a letter from Shah Rukh Khan. This crucial document led to the loan's approval, enabling Talpade to buy his home.
Farah Khan expressed her delight upon hearing the story, humorously noting the minimal financial contribution she might have made to his purchase compared to the loan's significance. 'Om Shanti Om,' released in 2007, was a major success directed by Khan and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, starring Shah Rukh Khan and marking Deepika Padukone's debut.
