Shraddha Kapoor Announces Animated Chhoti Stree Film, Expanding Maddock Horror Comedy Universe

On September 26th, 2025, Shraddha Kapoor made a major announcement at the trailer launch event for Maddock Films' upcoming horror comedy Thamma. Kapoor revealed that the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is expanding with an animated theatrical film called Chhoti Stree.

Chhoti Stree will be a family-friendly, entertaining addition to the popular horror comedy franchise that includes films like Stree. According to producer Dinesh Vijan, the animated movie will end with a scene from the highly anticipated Stree 3, seamlessly transitioning from animation to live-action. Vijan also shared that Chhoti Stree will explore the backstory of the Stree character, providing more insight into this beloved supernatural entity.

In addition to the Chhoti Stree announcement, the event also saw the launch of the official logo for the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. Kapoor expressed her excitement about being part of this growing cinematic world, which has already delivered hits like Bhediya and Munjya. She emphasized Maddock's focus on creating films rooted in Indian culture, which are resonating with audiences.
