Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar has extended his congratulations to Vijay following his party's impressive performance in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Rajkumar celebrated Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party's debut, highlighting it as a significant victory achieved against considerable challenges.
In a social media post, Shiva Rajkumar commended Vijay's approach of letting his work speak for itself amidst criticism. He recalled a past jest where he suggested 'TVK stands for Try Vijay As King,' noting that Vijay had indeed risen to the occasion like a king. Rajkumar expressed hopes that Vijay would fulfill his promises to the people of Tamil Nadu and usher in progress.
Vijay's entry into politics, marked by the launch of TVK in 2024, culminated in a landmark electoral debut. Contesting across all 234 constituencies in the 2026 Assembly elections, his party secured 108 seats, becoming the largest single party in its maiden attempt. This success is attributed to Vijay's considerable mass appeal and his established 'Thalapathy' image, often conveyed through socially conscious films.
