Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar has shared a difficult period in his life following a cancer diagnosis, which almost caused him to step away from the upcoming film 'Peddi'. The actor felt his health condition would make it impossible to commit to the demanding schedule of the large-scale entertainer.
However, director Buchi Babu Sana assured Rajkumar that the production team was willing to wait for his complete recovery. This support, coupled with a script that immediately captivated him during the first narration, made his participation in 'Peddi' particularly meaningful.
Rajkumar, who will portray the character Gournaidu, also discussed his immediate connection with Ram Charan upon hearing the story. The film, also featuring Janhvi Kapoor and others, with music by AR Rahman, is set to release on June 4. His first look poster depicts him as a commanding figure, a chief with a thick moustache and multiple rings.
