The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 is gearing up to be a grand celebration of music, art, and culture, showcasing the rich diversity of Meghalaya. The festival, scheduled for November 14-15, will take place at the Polo Grounds in Shillong.
The lineup for this year's event is truly impressive, with a mix of global superstars and talented local artists. Headliners include the Irish rock band The Script, R&B sensation Jason Derulo, and 3-time Grammy winner DJ Diplo. Pop icons Aqua and Bollywood performer Nora Fatehi will also grace the stage. Additionally, the festival will feature a special tribute to the iconic artist Zubeen Garg, who passed away recently.
Alongside the international acts, the festival will also highlight the local talent of Meghalaya. Artists such as Meba Ofilia, Dappest, adL, and the rock band Girish and the Chronicles are set to perform. The government is expecting a footfall of over 50,000 tourists during the two-day event, which will include a range of activities, including the traditional 'Mr and Ms Cherry Blossom' competition, cosplay, and Cherry Blossom arm wrestling.
