Director Shekhar Kapur has issued a stark warning to Hollywood, predicting that artificial intelligence will dismantle established entertainment industry hierarchies and corporate structures. Speaking at the WAVES Film Bazaar, Kapur asserted that major corporations reliant on high entry barriers are unlikely to endure the AI-driven transition.

Kapur observed that AI dramatically lowers the cost of filmmaking, enabling projects that once cost millions to be produced for significantly less. He highlighted AI's role in democratizing creativity, suggesting that this accessibility will lead to the "collapse of the pyramid" in both creative and corporate sectors. New entities are predicted to form as the traditional landscape shifts.

Furthermore, Kapur believes AI empowers individuals, allowing them to explore their capabilities and potentially bypass traditional employment. He cautioned tech companies with high valuations, likening them to poker games where value is speculative.
