Shazahn Padamsee Trades Acting for Singing Debut

Shazahn Padamsee is making a significant transition from her acting career to explore her musical talents with the release of her debut single, 'Raatan Kaaliyan'. This move marks a new chapter for the artist, who has often felt a strong calling towards music.

Raised in a creatively charged environment by parents Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar, with her mother being a pioneering pop star, Shazahn's childhood was immersed in the arts. Music served as her therapy and a way to express emotions from a young age.

Despite a teenage passion for house and alternative pop, Shazahn initially pursued modeling and acting, achieving success in Bollywood. However, the creative urge for music led her to seriously dedicate time to vocal training and production, even spending time in Europe collaborating with electronic dance music artists.

'Raatan Kaaliyan,' scheduled for release on August 19, 2026, explores themes of love and self-discovery, signifying the beginning of a new creative avenue for Padamsee. The song aims to convey a message of finding secure love that allows one to be their authentic self.
