Sharon Stone's Mother Never Said 'I Love You'

Actress Sharon Stone, 68, has spoken about the complex and often difficult relationship she had with her late mother, Dorothy. Stone shared on a recent podcast that her mother, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 91, never once told her "I love you" throughout her life.

This emotional distance persisted even when Stone's parents moved into her home while her father was terminally ill in 2009. The actress admitted that her efforts to provide extensive support, which she termed "overhelping," may have inadvertently fostered dependency and emotional distress among her family members.

During this period, Stone meticulously prepared her home to care for her ailing father, ensuring his comfort. She also provided care for her mother in her final days, though their relationship remained fraught with unspoken emotions and unresolved issues.

Stone's upcoming film, In Memoriam, is set to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 7. The movie explores themes of mortality and legacy.
