Veteran actors Harriet Walter, Anne Reid, and Freddie Fox are set to join the cast of Sharon Horgan's new HBO comedy series, titled 'Youth.' Each will be taking on recurring roles in the highly anticipated project.
The series, which Horgan also stars in and writes, focuses on a 50-year-old woman who is navigating life after divorce. Her journey involves seeking new romantic and sexual relationships while simultaneously managing the responsibilities of caring for her elderly parents and raising her grown son.
'Youth' is being produced by Merman, Horgan's production company, with Faye Dorn, Jim Kleverweis, and Dawn Shadforth serving as executive producers. Shadforth will also direct.
The involvement of Walter, known for her work in 'Succession' and 'Ted Lasso,' Reid from 'The Sixth Commandment,' and Fox, who appeared in 'House of the Dragon,' signals a strong ensemble for the comedy.
