Shannen Doherty's personal sanctuary in Malibu has officially sold for $7.65 million, several weeks after it was reported to be under offer. The actress, who passed away on July 13, 2024, at age 53, had purchased the elegant home in 2004 for $2.56 million.
This property served as Doherty's private escape, especially during her extensive battle with cancer. Initially listed in August 2025 for $9.5 million, the home struggled to find a buyer. Following multiple price reductions, it was listed for $8.25 million in February before an offer was accepted.
Records confirm the sale has now closed for $600,000 less than its final asking price. As Doherty had no children, the proceeds from the sale of the 5,400-square-foot home are designated to go to her mother, Rosa.
Doherty's friend and estate executor, Chris Cortazzo, highlighted the privacy of the estate as a key attraction for the actress. He also noted that the home underwent extensive renovation in 2018 after damage from the Woolsey Fire, and it is filled with treasures collected during her travels.
Cortazzo also mentioned buyer caution regarding wildfire risks in the area, although this specific property is located outside the immediately impacted zones. The home features a stucco exterior, large glass walls with ocean views, beamed ceilings, and a custom kitchen.
Additional amenities include a lap pool overlooking the ocean, an edible garden, and a detached guesthouse. Doherty's career began in childhood, with notable roles in "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed." She openly documented her cancer journey, from her Stage 3 diagnosis in 2015 to its recurrence as Stage 4.
