Shane Taylor has embraced the theater world following his recent Broadway debut. This newfound passion has solidified his dream of portraying Mary in Cole Escola's Tony-winning comedy, 'Oh, Mary!'
'Oh, Mary!' is a unique production that reimagines Mary Todd Lincoln as an aspiring cabaret singer. The show, which originated off-Broadway and transferred to Broadway in 2024, earned five Tony nominations, including a win for Cole Escola's performance. Since its initial run, the role of Mary has been portrayed by notable actors such as Jane Krakowski, Jinkx Monsoon, and Maya Rudolph, who is set to take over the part on April 28.
Beyond his theatrical aspirations, Taylor was recently celebrated by Variety as one of their 10 Creators to Watch. He has also taken on a new executive role as Chief Creative Officer for the German candy company Katjes. Additionally, his film debut, 'Wishful Thinking,' is scheduled to premiere at this year's SXSW.
