Summary
- Shalla-Bal takes over as Galactus' herald in Earth-828.
- A new comic details her harrowing deal to save Zenn-La.
- She left her daughter behind and became Galactus' herald.

The character Shalla-Bal, who served as Galactus' herald in the 2025 film 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps,' will be the focus of a new comic series. 'Fantastic Four: First Foes -- Shalla-Bal #1,' set to be released on June 10, will explore her origins on Earth-828.
Written by Charles Soule with art by Mark Buckingham, the comic will detail Shalla-Bal's decision to become Galactus' herald. She offered her life to save her home planet, Zenn-La, and its inhabitants, including her daughter, from being consumed by the Devourer of Worlds.
After accepting the Power Cosmic, Shalla-Bal left her home and began finding planets for Galactus. This narrative diverges from the comics, where she is Norrin Radd's love interest. The new comic aims to flesh out her character and her motivations.
In 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps,' Shalla-Bal was last seen transporting Galactus away, leaving her stranded with him. It is anticipated that she will eventually return to Earth, given her popularity.
