Shakira concluded the extensive Mexican leg of her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour with a monumental free concert on March 1, 2026, at Mexico City's Zócalo. This event drew an unprecedented 400,000 people, setting a new record for the largest audience ever assembled in the nation's main public square. The Colombian superstar expressed deep emotion, calling it a "love and friendship story" with Mexico, marking her first return to the Zócalo since her 2007 debut where she initially set a record of 210,000 attendees.
The historic concert, organized jointly by Mexico City's government and Grupo Modelo, was celebrated by President Claudia Sheinbaum. This feat capped off a year since her highest-grossing Hispanic tour landed in Mexico, where she performed 31 shows, selling 800,000 tickets. The Zócalo concert alone generated an estimated 403.6 million pesos (around $22.4 million USD), showcasing Shakira's significant economic impact.
Special guest Beéle joined Shakira for the debut live performance of their new song "Algo Tú," set for release on March 4, 2026. Shakira also performed "¿Dónde Estás Corazón?" live for the first time since 2019. This achievement coincides with her nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026, following a year of major milestones, including a Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing Hispanic artist tour.
