Shakira will mark the conclusion of her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour with an extraordinary three-night residency in Madrid, Spain, from September 25-27. The event will take place at the specially constructed "Estadio Shakira," a 4.2-acre venue in the Villaverde district. This immersive experience, titled "Es Latina," will extend beyond concerts to include cinema, gastronomy, and exhibitions curated by the artist.
The tour finale follows Shakira's recent nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour has already achieved a Guinness World Record, grossing $421.6 million and selling 3.3 million tickets. This immense success includes record-breaking performances in Mexico City and a recent free concert in Zócalo for 400,000 people.
Prior to her Madrid residency, Shakira is scheduled to perform on May 2 at the iconic Copacabana beach in Brazil, with an expected audience of at least one million. Tickets for the Madrid shows are set to go on sale on March 27. The temporary venue model in Madrid mirrors recent European trends, such as Adele's Munich residency, allowing for enhanced audience experience and production scale.
