Shaboozey's Beyoncé Co-Sign Fuels New Album

Shaboozey's highly anticipated concept album, "The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales," is scheduled for release on July 31. The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Collins Chibueze, shared that contributing to Beyoncé's country album provided immense motivation. He recalled being unsure of his inclusion until the tracklist was confirmed, noting that Beyoncé retained his ad-libs and verses without changes.

Beyoncé's "cosign" gave Shaboozey a significant career boost, encouraging him to pursue his artistic vision. He was featured on "Spaghettii" and "Sweet Honey Buckin'," and he described the experience as a "pinch-me moment." Shaboozey emphasized the valuable lessons learned about work ethic and the importance of continuous inspiration for artists.

He also revealed Beyoncé's advice to "just be yourself" and "be confident in the fact that you are different." Shaboozey explained that his new album is a culmination of his passion for strong female protagonists, inspired by directors like Quentin Tarantino. He aims to create a cohesive body of work that reflects his cinematic and musical influences, a style he feels is currently lacking in the music landscape.
