Filmmaker's 2026 Success: Sequels for 'Ikka' & 'Shaque'

Filmmaker and producer Siddharth P Malhotra is experiencing a highly successful year in 2026. His earlier OTT film, 'Ikka,' starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, garnered considerable attention earlier this year. More recently, his web series, 'Shaque: Trust No One,' which is currently streaming, has also been well-received by audiences.

Following the positive reception of these projects, Malhotra has announced exciting updates. He confirmed that both 'Ikka' and 'Shaque' are slated for sequels. He stated that 'Ikka' has broken records, leading to the development of 'Ikka 2.' Similarly, 'Shaque' has also achieved record-breaking success, prompting the production of 'Shaque Season 2.' Malhotra clarified that the second season of 'Shaque' will introduce a new narrative rather than continuing the existing story.

'Ikka' delves into the story of a respected lawyer whose commitment to justice is severely tested when he undertakes a highly controversial case. This legal battle evolves into a deeply personal struggle, forcing characters to confront issues of loyalty, family, and sacrifice. The film combines courtroom drama with emotional depth, exploring the lengths one would go to protect loved ones.

The series 'Shaque' centers on Anvita, a mother desperately searching for her daughter, who was taken on the day of her birth. Her eight-year grieving process transforms into an unwavering quest to find the child she believes is alive. The series emphasizes that trusting anyone in its narrative proves to be a mistake.
