- Avengers: Secret Wars is slated for a December 2027 release date.
Recent speculation suggests that the West Coast Avengers might be introduced in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Avengers: Secret Wars. This rumor gained traction following a cryptic social media post by actor Jeremy Renner, who portrays Hawkeye. Renner shared images of several Marvel comics featuring the West Coast Avengers, leading fans to believe he was hinting at the team's potential inclusion in future MCU projects.
While this remains a rumor, it aligns with certain comic book narratives where Hawkeye is instrumental in forming the West Coast Avengers. The team's potential appearance in Secret Wars is further fueled by the fact that characters like Kate Bishop and Vision, who have been associated with the team in the comics, are already part of the MCU. This development, if true, could indicate a more significant role for Renner's character in the ensemble film.
Avengers: Secret Wars is officially scheduled to premiere on December 17, 2027. Prior to this massive event film, audiences will see Avengers: Doomsday, set to release on December 18, 2026. Marvel Studios has not yet officially confirmed any plans regarding the West Coast Avengers.
