The upcoming espionage thriller 'Secret Service,' starring Gemma Arterton, has secured a notable slate of international pre-sales. The series follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson as she navigates a dangerous investigation.
Henderson's probe uncovers evidence pointing to a high-ranking U.K. politician as a potential Russian asset. This revelation creates immense political tension and personal risk for Henderson.
Adapted from ITV News anchor Tom Bradby's novel, the five-part series is directed by Oscar winner James Marsh. It will premiere in the U.K. on ITV1 and ITVX this spring. International distribution is handled by All3Media International.
Pre-sales include deals across Europe with ARD Plus (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Movistar Plus+ (Spain), Cosmote (Greece), and AntenaPlay (Romania). Scandinavian public broadcasters NRK, DR, YLE, RUV, and SVT have also acquired rights. Further deals include Stan for Australia and Sky New Zealand. The BBC has picked up rights for India and other Asian territories for BBC First and BBC Player.
