New York-based Seaview has officially entered the television production landscape with the launch of its new TV division. The company, which has a history in Broadway and has expanded into film, now aims to become a comprehensive entertainment shingle.
Leading the development and production of scripted television projects is Jess Lubben, a former senior executive at A24. Lubben's extensive experience includes work on major series like HBO's "Euphoria" and Apple TV+'s "Mr. Corman." She will focus on collaborating with theater artists transitioning to television, as well as established TV writers.
Furthermore, Seaview has established a significant partnership with Fifth Season, the production company known for "Severance." This first-look deal means that television projects developed by Seaview will be presented to Fifth Season first. This collaboration signifies an exciting new chapter for Seaview, enabling artists to develop stories across both stage and screen.
Seaview's film division, overseen by Brad Becker-Parton, has already produced notable projects such as HBO's "Reality." The company's Broadway successes include "Stereophonic" and "Good Night and Good Luck."
