Photographer JJ Waller is exhibiting his 'Beside the Sea' collection at the Hastings Museum and Art Gallery. This exhibition, featuring images from coastal towns in the South East and beyond, is Waller's first in Hastings, a town for which he feels a strong connection. He views the seaside as a perfect setting to explore and define British identity.
The collection initially showed in Brighton last year, a collaboration with the late Martin Parr. Following this, Waller was invited to bring the exhibition to Hastings. David Shrigley praised Waller's diligent approach and keen eye for capturing compelling photographs.
