Scrubs Revival Heats Up With Season 2 News

The beloved medical comedy Scrubs is set to return for a second season of its revival in 2026, much to the delight of fans. Original lead actors Zach Braff and Donald Faison expressed their joy over the renewal, marking a significant moment for the series. This upcoming season will technically be the eleventh for Scrubs.

The decision to renew the show was made rapidly, following the successful conclusion of the revival's first season just two weeks prior to the announcement. Zach Braff and Donald Faison shared nostalgic photos on social media to commemorate the news, reflecting their excitement.

Despite minor criticisms regarding the revival's initial nine-episode run, its overall success has demonstrated the enduring appeal of the show. The return to Sacred Heart Hospital promises more of the humor and heart that fans have come to expect. The series is expected to premiere either in the fall of 2026 or early 2027.

The revival successfully integrated new characters and featured memorable guest stars, including Vanessa Bayer as Sibby Wilson. This new chapter continues to resonate with audiences, proving the show's lasting legacy over 15 years after its initial run.
