Scream Stars Reunite to Bring Five Nights at Freddy's 2 to Life
27 Sep, 2025
Summary
- Actor Skeet Ulrich joins Five Nights at Freddy's 2 cast
- Co-star Lillard vouched for Ulrich's talent and fan-friendly approach
- Sequel aims to be even scarier than the original game

In the lead-up to the release of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the film's creators have brought on a familiar face to the horror genre - Skeet Ulrich, who previously starred alongside actor Matthew Lillard in the original Scream movie.
Lillard, who also has a role in the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 film, revealed that he played a part in Ulrich's casting. He told the creator, Scott Cawthon, that Ulrich is "a dream" to work with - "talented" and deeply caring about his fans. Cawthon was apparently swayed by Lillard's recommendation, as he went on to cast Ulrich in a key role.
Beyond their shared history in the horror genre, Lillard says he and Ulrich share a special connection with Cawthon in their mutual appreciation for their fanbases. This, Lillard believes, is a key reason Cawthon brought Ulrich on board.
Fans can expect the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 film to be even scarier than the first, with the director and creator listening closely to audience feedback. Lillard promises "more jump scares" and an experience that will truly "fill the audience with feelings." After seeing an early screening, Lillard gave the film his seal of approval, saying the team has "executed on that" and that fans are "going to lose their minds."
