Scream 7 Unleashed: New Frights and Old Faces Return

Scream 7 is poised for release, with its initial screenings starting tonight at 6 PM on premium screens before wider previews at 6:30 PM. This seventh installment marks a significant milestone as original franchise scribe Kevin Williamson takes the directorial helm for the first time in the series' 30-year history.

Fans will be thrilled to see Neve Campbell return as Sidney Prescott, accompanied by her daughter, played by Isabel May, both targeted by familiar Ghostface killers. The film also welcomes back other iconic characters like Courtney Cox's Gale Weathers. Notably, Scream 7 will be presented in IMAX and ScreenX for the franchise's debut, alongside D-Box and premium large-format screens, enhancing the viewing experience.

With a production cost of $45 million before marketing, Scream 7 is co-financed by Spyglass and Paramount. While critics have been more reserved, awarding it a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, audience scores stand at 79%. This comes in contrast to the recent Radio Silence reboots, Scream VI (77% critics, 90% audience) and 2022's Scream (76% critics, 82% audience). The film is opening wide as the sole major studio release this weekend and is scheduled to play in 52 international territories. The six previous films in the Scream saga have collectively grossed $908.5 million worldwide.
