Scott Speedman takes on the titular role of R.J. Decker, a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con, in a new series adapted from Carl Hiaasen's novel "Double Whammy." The show plunges into the colorful, crime-filled world of South Florida, where Decker restarts his life as a private investigator.
Decker tackles cases ranging from unusual to bizarre, assisted by his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a mysterious benefactor. Speedman, known for his role as Nick on "Grey's Anatomy," has seamlessly transitioned between the medical drama and this new lead.
Jaina Lee Ortiz portrays Emilia "Emi" Ochoa, who previously sent R.J. to prison. Kevin Rankin plays his former cellmate and current bar owner, Aloysius "Wish" Aiken. Adelaide Clemens is R.J.'s ex-wife and journalist Catherine Delacroix, while Bevin Bru embodies Melody "Mel" Abreu, Catherine's wife and a detective.
