Scott Mills has stepped back from his position as an ambassador for MS Society UK. The charity announced this move on Tuesday, stating they are reviewing the situation in light of recent news. Mills, a former Radio 2 DJ, was dismissed by the BBC after an investigation into allegations of serious sexual offenses dating between 1997 and 2000. The BBC acknowledged awareness of a police investigation in 2017 but stated they acted on new information prior to his dismissal.
For over a decade, Mills had been a vocal advocate for multiple sclerosis, a condition affecting his mother. He served as an ambassador for MS Society UK since 2015, actively participating in fundraising and awareness campaigns. Following his departure from the BBC, children's cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK, where he was a patron since 2021, also announced they are parting ways with Mills. Additionally, he has been removed as the host of a BBC spin-off podcast for "Race Across The World."
