This release by the Department of Posts, in collaboration with Raseel Gujral Art Legacy, honors Gujral's extensive career as a painter, sculptor, muralist, architect, and writer.
The exhibition '100 Years of Fortitude' complements the stamp release, presenting limited-edition centenary collectibles. Raseel Gujral described the exhibition's title as reflecting her father's resilience, emphasizing his creative restlessness and refusal to be confined to a single discipline. She noted his belief that each artistic expression demanded its own unique medium.
Art connoisseurs and friends also shared their reflections. Rajiv Lochan, former director of NGMA, described Gujral as a conceptual thinker who worked with intuitive rhythms. Jatin Das reminisced about their close friendship, highlighting Gujral's sharp wit and playful nature.
