As 'Sardar 2' gears up for its release, actor Karthi has revisited a poignant moment from the 2022 spy thriller. He recounted a dialogue that deeply impacted him, concerning the commercialization of water. Karthi explained that a line, "Each and every bottled water that is sold for money represents the twisting of a child's neck," accompanied by the visual of a bottle cap being twisted, was particularly haunting.
This theme underscores the film's broader message about each generation's responsibility towards the next. Co-star SJ Suryah highlighted how the film addresses the often-unnoticed consumption of impurities in food and water, commending director PS Mithran for skillfully embedding serious social commentary within an entertaining narrative. The original 'Sardar,' released in 2022, followed a spy confronting a company involved in a bottled water operation.
The sequel, 'Sardar 2,' is set to expand this universe. SJ Suryah is joining the franchise as the main antagonist, promising an intense confrontation with Karthi's character. The film is scheduled to premiere on September 10.
